After treatment of Early Onset Scoliosis with the Gensingen brace and a reduction from 27 to 2 degrees (with the curve no longer being defined as a scoliosis) this patient is now entering her teenage growth spurt. This is a first time for us at DSC. The recommendation is now to end brace treatment and in stead continue follow ups in specialised physiotherapy and by the orthopedic surgeon while going through her growth spurt. If future brace treatment is needed - time will tell.
Today we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of dedicated SBP physiotherapists from Denmark Sweden Norway and the UK. Orthotist Thomas Borregaard and physiotherapist Lisa Elliott informed about working with Gensingen brace for children with scoliosis, the production, fitting and recheck process.
Yesterday, one of our sweet patients brought us this cute bear wearing the shirt she designed for @skoliosforeningen

Christmas is almost here and thanks to the help of one of the sweet Swedish children coming for brace check up this week - the tree is now trimmed 🎄🎄
